Review : MAC Gingerly Blush

RATING – 8 OUT OF 10
Thanks to Kim Kardashian, MAC Gingerly blush which is a sheertone blush has become a quite famous MAC blush, though its not so hyped as that of MAC Peaches blush. Alright so I am going to do the review of Gingerly first, then someday will review the Peaches. Here you go!

First the price, as we know, MAC is expensive, it costs INR Rs 1100. Famous Make-up artist Mickey Contractor had once told that MAC Gingerly is one of his top 10 favourite MAC Blushes. I guess the color suits on Indian skin tone really really well. It’s a peachy brownish cheek color. Even for dark dusky beauties, the Gingerly blush will add a natural warmth to your skin.

MAC Gingerly blush gives a sun-kissed look. As mentioned before, gingerly is a sheertone blush which actually means, the color is buildable. To explain I can say it wont be like high pigmented if you just use one swipe of it, you can control the color buildability, and according to your wish and choice build the color. You can either go with a light stroke to have barely-there cheek color, or with a heavy hand to feel the warmth of the colour. You can control or regulate the intensity of the color, layering is the key.

The color lasts for more or less 6 hours. It has an orangish tinge, but believe me once you apply MAC Gingerly blush on your cheeks, it wont look artificial from any angle. You can even use this blush to contour the hollows of your cheeks or as a bronzer. Pigmentation is average, blends evenly. Its matte, but does not appear to be chalky or ashy. Though the blush is suitable for fairer skinned girls, as the color would show up really well, but as I said on the duskier skin tones it would be looking more natural. The blush is not at all heavy and is very soft to touch, almost silky.
